I can call them out any time, but there is nothing in my Adopted Petz folder or anywhere else that I can find. First thing I noticed is that dogs I adopt do not show up in the Adopted Petz folder. I got the game(s) installed and seemingly running smoothly, but now I am having some issues. I read that there are some issues between the two, but I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is somewhat common or if I need to try and reinstall Petz 5. Unlike XP in windows vista there is some sort of problem where you can not access the.pet files for the game.Įxample: if you adopt a pet from the adoption center or breed one into existence it doesnt appear in the adpted petz folder -thus, unlike on Windows XP you are unable to adopt your petz out to other people in the community because even if you return the petz to the game they dont end up in the returned petz folder.Ī patch needs to be made but the players of the petz community will likely have to create one on their own since UBIsoft never offered any real help for the petz game.I'm new to Petz 5 in the Windows 10 environment. Using Vista Beta RC1 Catz 5 Dogs 5 (install both and you get Petz 5) The sound actually works without any trouble, unlike in XP. Warning: Use of this site may cause you to excessively download cool programs and feel geeky. Otherwise, it sounds like Petz is working with Windows 10 (and all older versions). I will update this later if I find out a wayto make PetzA profiles compatible with older versions of windows. Since most users on the web use Petz 4, I would advise this one simply because if you want to adopt petz out to other players, you will be able to reach a larger audience by making them available to all people. Petz 5 also seems to be a bit glitchy and is not backwards compatible. So I probably would stick with this version if you decide to play.
Ubisoft no longer sells the game, and when it was around they even had a patch demo available where it could be obtained for free, so there should be no issue with me including it here. Im serious.) In addition, since the game is so old its very hard to obtain.
